Wedding Invitation Studio

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We recommend mailing your “save the date” cards six to twelve months prior to your wedding date to allow your guests ample time to plan their travel. Wedding invitations should be mailed 8 to 10 weeks prior if your wedding is local or 12 weeks prior for a destination wedding. Plan a 6 to 9 week window for your invitations to be created before your mailing date. If you want to get started sooner, even better! We love savoring the process with an extra cushion of time as well. Why rush through the fun?

  • First, we recommend going online to schedule a complimentary one hour in-studio appointment with Paper Rock Scissor. During your consultation, we can answer your questions on timing, etiquette, addressing, design, etc…. and you can start the fun by browsing our many custom designs. Relax! This may be your first time getting married, but it’s not our first rodeo. 🙂

  • Of course you can work with us! Shoot us an e-mail (info@paperrockscissor.com) and we’ll arrange a time to do a consultation with  you over the telephone.  If time allows, we are happy to mail paper and printing samples, so please plan to add a couple of weeks to the overall invitation timeline for shipping.

  • In addition to your sweet face, we encourage you to bring things to your consultation that have inspired you: color swatches, photographs, magazine tears, anything you have looked at that you love! We recommend working out a stationary budget as well as a rough count of your invitees ahead of time, all of this will help us create your perfect wedding stationery.

  • Because we create only custom invitations we are able to fine tune our suites to each customer. We offer a variety of paper choices, as well as printing methods, which allows us to work with a variety of budgets. We will provide you with a detailed estimate after your complimentary consultation. If you want to email us for a ballpark quote, please do! info@paperrockscissor.com

  • After our consultation we will e-mail you an estimate, once you approve the estimate, we ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit. From there it’s onto invitation wording, don’t worry we’re here to help if you find yourself at a loss for words! Once the wording and deposit are buttoned up we’ll get to work on creating an electronic proof of your entire suite.

  • Save the date cards, invitation suites, envelope addressing, rehearsal dinner invitations, programs, table numbers, place cards, menus, address wraps/labels, guestbook signs, thank you notes, custom napkins, cigar wraps, drink stirrers, stickers, hugs, laughs, high fives, etc.
